Laut kicker-Informationen hat der FC Villarreal ein erstes Angebot für den Wolfsburger Daniel Caligiuri abgegeben. VfL-Manager Klaus Allofs soll jedoch die Offerte der Spanier abgelehnt haben. Der Vertrag des Deutsch-Italieners läuft noch ein Jahr, Gespräche über eine Verlängerung wurden im Mai ergebnislos abgebrochen.
